General Information

San Benito County Express provides convenient and affordable transportation service to the communities of Hollister, San Juan Bautista, and Gilroy. County Express also operates a complementary Dial-A-Ride service, as well as an intercounty service to Gilroy's Caltrain and Greyhound Stations, and Gavilan College with connecting service to the Santa Clara VTA bus system.

Hours of Operation

Buses operate: Monday through Friday 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Weekends 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Service does not operate on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
It is our goal to maintain scheduled times whenever possible, however, safety is our primary consideration. Rainy weather, traffic, road construction and other factors may affect operating conditions.

Intercounty

County Express provides three intercounty bus services. Intercounty routes provide connecting services to other transit services in Santa Clara County and to Gavilan College in Gilroy.

Gilroy Greyhound

Provides service Saturday and Sunday to the Greyhound Bus Terminal in Gilroy. The schedule is designed to allow for connections to Greyhound service.

Gilroy Caltrain

County Express provides express bus service to the Caltrain commuter rail station in Gilroy, Monday through Friday. County Express buses connect with rail departures and arrivals.

Gavilan College

Service to Gavilan College operates Monday through Friday between Hollister, San Juan Bautista, and Gilroy. Regularly scheduled service is provided during the school year only. Limited service is available during school vacation periods and summer. Passengers may also connect to the Santa Clara VTA bus system at Gavilan College in Gilroy.
